The P0974 code is generic powertrain code related to the transmission, including pressure faults and sensor failures. In this case, the engine control module (ECM) has detected a fault with a high voltage reading from the shift solenoid A control circuit.
The P2430 error will be set if the PCM finds improper voltage or resistance in the secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor circuit bank 1 and the check engine light will blink.
What is a P0700 Code? The P0700 code indicates that there's a malfunction with your vehicle's Transmission Control Module (TCM). This computer monitors your transmission and works with the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and Engine Control Module (ECM) to shift gears when necessary.
What the P0365 code means. Essentially, the P0365 code means that there has been a lack of voltage detected from the camshaft position sensor B in bank 1 by the PCM within a few seconds of the engine starting.
This is a wiring problem you have a loose connector at the ECT control module or connector at the transmission, the solution is make proper connection and this is a common problem, that or you have a bad conductor plate in the transmission. Go to the right rear of the engine compartment ensure you connection for the transmission module is all hook up, go to the transmission and ensure nothing at the harness is disconnected
700=TRANSMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM, NEED TO READ TRANSMISSION DTC's ON THE DRBIII(R) 732= TRANSMISSION.....POSSIBLE CAUSES----RELATED DTC'S PRESENT, TRANSMISSION SOLENOID/PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY, INTERNAL TRANSMISSION, INTERMITTENT GEAR RATIO ERRORS.. Hope this helps ??
The code P0700 just means your Transmission Control Module has a fault code of it's own, and you will need to have the TCM scanned for the codes. It could be anything from a solenoid valve, to a speed sensor. Without knowing the code, it is hard to tell without testing each component.
You need to replace the transmission shift control solenoid on the transmission, when theres a problem you may experience hard shifts, not shifting into OD. Part cost between $30-70.
Because it is not starting, you should replace the Crankshaft sensor (above the oil filter, back of the engine)-it will cause a P0700-I have a 99 SL2, 178,000 miles
DTC) CODE # P0700....Transmission Control System (MIL Request)Translation: Transmission Control Module (TCM) Malfunction or Failure.
P0700 Information Code
The Transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors
and actuators relating to transaxle control. If any malfunction is
detected, the TCM informs the PCM by sending a signal (P0700 code).
P0700 means that a code has been set in the TCM.
This code is for information ONLY. If this code is present, check for transaxle codes.
So basically, the P0700 code is telling you to check the TCM for a
transaxle DTC. The TCM can not turn on the check engine light so it has
the PCM do it. The dealer probably saw the code P0700 and went to the
TCM and pulled out the code stored there telling them the Transmission
Solenoid Assembly (TSA) is bad.
This is a good example of understanding what the codes actually mean.
If the manual you looked at said the TCM is bad and to replace the TCM
when you see a P0700, then it is wrong.
P0700 is a code that tells u the TCM [transmission Control Module] has requested that the PCM [Powertrain Control Module] turn on the check engine light, u now need to ge the TCM tested for the transmission fault code(s) that were stored when the check engine light was turned on by the TCM through and by the PCM
Do you have a check engine light on? If so you need a scanner to get the codes and then you have to go to the dealer and he will tell you what the codes mean. My repairs with this vehicle and this type of complaint were shift solenoid,Vehicle speed sensor (VSS) Transmission control module(TCM). With the exceptionof the VSS all other items I described should be serviced by a Transmission specialists.
Code P1529 sets in the ECM (Engine Control Module) to advise that the TCM (Transmission Control Module) requested the ECM to turn on the MIL (Malfuntion Indicator Light). What this means is there's a transmission code set in the TCM. You will need a manufacturerspecific scan tool to pull Transmission codes and find out what's wrong with the trans. Some aftermarket scanners/code pullers only have the capability to pull Engine codes. -hope this helps
