It would seem like the thread has stripped. You will have to try and pull the plug out whilst turning it. Get a pair of vice grips or similar on the plug across 2 of the flats on the nut and pull on this while turning the plug with an open end spanner. Sometimes this will cause the plug to jump a thread down to a good one and after a few turns you may be able to unscrew it as normal. You will need a new plug. Get one before you try to get the old one out. Hopefully, it hasn't damaged the threads in the sump.

Your throttle body likely needs cleaning.
Take the intake hose off and using throttle body cleaner or brake cleaner, spray a rag and use our fingers to clean the gunk off the throttle plate and the contacting area of the inside of the throttle body.
SOURCE: Change spark plugs
Remove the intake baffle if equipped (5 10mm screws), then remove the coilpacks/wires (10mm bolts), then remove sparkplugs (use 5/8" socket)

The first step you have to take is to determine if you have an ignition or fuel problem. You must do this to know which direction in testing to go. After you find out which problem you have check your fuses and fuse links with a test light to make sure all circuits are working from that point. After that depending on your confidence in dianognostics and experience in auto repairs you may want to take the car to a shop or let us know the results that you get from the checks then we can guide you on which tests to run next.

lower octanes will not hurt your 2005 outlander truck at all... the engine computer adjusts to the lower octane... you may notice a slightly higher fuel consumption with the lower octane fuel but the money you save on lower octane fuel offsets the mileage.
