It normally DOES NOT Unlock with the Door Unlock. Depending on the Year/Make/Model. Some have a Separate Button, Some you have to Push 2 QUICK Unlocks for it to work, then there is one I ran into that you had to push it 3 times (I though that was odd).

One Quick Push = Drivers Doot
Two Quick Pushes = All Doors
Three Quick Pushes = Trunk

I am trying to lock my tailgate for my Honda CRVEX 2015 with the tailgate button but it won’t lock How can I lock it? Thank you

Your tailgate may have a separate fuse not associated with the door locks. I would check for a fuse and location in your owners manual or go online in your browser and put in 2015 Honda CRVex rear tailgate electronic lock and it should give you some information on the operation and may contain whether if it is fused on a separate circuit.

I have a Vauxhall meriva 2010 model. My tailgate lock is not opening checked fuse all is ok anyone can help to solve the problem.

Do you park it in the open air? If so, it might be water ingress or damp affecting the electric-mechanism in the tailgate lock. If so, dry it out - hair dryer might help.

Tailgate door won't open

Possible that the lock or the lever is jammed which might require you to rest the lock.

Why dome lights with fade do not work when doors are opened or closed?

All of the items you listed are controlled by the Central Control Unit (AKA body control module) which is located under the right side of the dash behind the glove box.

The CCU has several battery voltage inputs which should be checked:

Fuse #8 (15 Amp), (Hot in RUN or START) and Fuse #15 (20 Amp) (HOT AT ALL TIMES) in passenger compartment fuse block.
Fuse #10 (10 Amp) (HOT AT ALL TIMES) in the engine compartment fuse block, via the inertia switch located ay the left rear side of the engine compartment.

Note: the inertia switch supplies power to pin #18 (BLUE/GREEN wire) at the CCU connector C0428. If there is battery voltage at this pin, the inertia switch is OK.

When you check your fuses, make sure they have power when they are supposed to have power. I have had many people simply LOOK at the fuses and tell me they are OK only to find out that the fuse has no power even though it is not blown. (possible connector or wiring problem to the fuse itself).

If this information is not enough to locate the problem, you will need a scan tool that is capable of two-way communication with your onboard computer network to continue diagnosis.

My gas cap door is no longer opening. It usually opens with the cenral locking. Can you advise me how to open it manually? It's a 2002 VW Polo TDI Sport. Thanks

Its quite likely that the solenoid that holds the flap shut has jammed. Its a fairly common problem (The same type of solenoid also operates the locking mechanism on the tailgate). It shouldnt be too difficult to access it from within the boot by stripping back some of the carpet/plastic trim in the boot area near fuel filler flap. Its a white plastic component with a wiring plug. if you lightly force it back it will probably unjam and start working prperly again (but for how long???). They are not too dear to buy and also fairly easy to replace.
If it isnt jammed, check the plug for a live and earth feed while somone operates the release button. good live + earth = faulty solenoid

Volvo s40 rear doors wont open inside or outside

There is a child safety switch on the rear latch assembly that prevents opening from the inside handle. This switch may be on. Check your owners manual for more info.
