Below is an image showing the timing marks. I circled the detail for the hole in the cam sprocket, you will look through the hole to aline the mark for the cam.
TO REPLACE TIMING CHAIN YOU NEED EITHER HAYNES REPAIR MANUAL OR CHILTON REPAIR TO SEE PHOTOS OF TIMING MARKS ON TIMING CHAINS SPROCKETS AND CRANKSHAFT TIMING GEAR AND TIMING MARKS ON TIMING GEAR COVER NEAR CRANKSHAFT PULLEY.

you need a haynes manuals because you got 3 types of engines. you got 3.4 3.1 2.4 engines. you got to different procedures.you got to remove a lots of things to get to timing chain. drain coolant remove alternator + bracket power steering a side air condtioning compressor aside water pump come off. harmonic balancer . then you need a engine lift support engine you got to remove top engine mount. you need a manual .because the 2.4 and the 3.1 3.4 timing marking on cam sprockets is different. also crank sprocket.
