I changed the 30 amp fuse and tested the master switch on the drivers side door. No switch on any door works the windows. The power locks and rear sliding window work.
Check the window's power and ground to the master switch. Pull off the connector that goes to the window controls. Use a test light or voltmeter. With key in ON, one wire to the connector should be a hot wire, battery voltage. If no hot wire, check for a broken wire or wires in the door opening, where wires may get chaffed and break. If no breaks, make sure the 30 amp fuse has power to it with key in on. If fuse has power, but no power at the master switch, there is a break in the wire from fuse panel to the master switch.
If you found a hot wire to the switch, then check the ground wire for the windows, it originates at the master switch (probably a black wire) and travels back through the door opening, and then to a nearby ground source. On the electrical connector, put the voltmeter positive lead on the power terminal, and the voltmeter negative on the ground terminal. The key must be in on. If power and ground are both good, you will see battery voltage on the voltmeter. If you found a hot wire by grounding the negative voltmeter lead to a real ground point while probing the power wire, but don't have voltage when probing the power wire terminal and ground wire terminal, then the ground must be lost for the windows. With no ground wire working, no windows will work.
Post back with what you find. Good luck. For more help, please include make, model, and year.
What type of vehicle? Does the drivers window work?
