Did you get two keys from the locksmith? Ford takes two different keys to reprogram the security. If neither key works, I would call the locksmith back. You should have a warranty. I personally don't mess with locksmiths when it comes to Ford. Dealer only.

This is not an unusual problem with late model Fords. The computer that runs the show has problems. A Ford dealership that has, this is important, a full service diagnostic computer that can reprogram your computer will work only. Call first as most will tell you they can diagnose everything. Not true. They did not buy a big enough devise from Ford as all the can do is read codes. In yours codes needs to repeat 5 to 8 errors before it will trip a computer reaction. Try this first as it might get you too the dealership without towing. Disconnect the Battery' Positive Post and take a screw driver as an extension and short the positive to the Negative Post for about 10 to 15 seconds.
