My 2000 chevy tahoe when I put it in 2wheel my rear driveshaftjustspins but when I put it in 4wheel it will drive can somebody help thnks

this is common on these trucks just put your witch in 2 wheel and go ahead and drive it will let loos when it sees the correct secquence and drive a little and shift to netural.
just neve do it from high to low range

-i have a 95 blazer it snowed heavily today i was driving the truck in 4 wheel drive pulled out of a parking lot and the 4x4 disengaged and what i mean by that is that it stopped working i got it to the garage and the actuator is engaging the 4 wheel drive and the front driveshaft is spinning but the front wheels don't turn i had the truck up on jackstands and could see the driveshaft spinning is there a sensor that locks the hubs into plce or is the front differential gone?

The 4WD in this vehicle is computer controlled. There will be diagnostic codes stored that will aid in proper diagnosis and repair of this problem. As there are several common / expensive failure items, it is best to have the codes read using a proper scanner. Some of the cheaper code readers may not work in this instance and a more professional scanner may be needed to retrieve the codes. Once you know the codes, a better, accurate diagnosis can be made.

FWIW - The encoder motor on the transfer case is a common failure item. The instrument panel switch module is also.
