1
Make sure the drivers front(left front) door is closed and you have your car keys.

Insert your door key into the drivers door and turn it to the locked position two times.

3
Then turn the key to the unlock position twice.

4
The alarm should be disarmed, now.

6 If not then take the ignition key and turn the ignition switch all the way ON then OFF then ON a second time and OFF again.
7
These are the procedures for nearly all factory alarm systems.

8
If neither of these works you probably have an after market(add-on) alarm system. Disarming a after market alarm system with your ignition key will be discussed in a future post.
Warnings

  • This technique is only for use on your own car that you own and have keys for. If you don't have the keys- disconnect the negative battery cable to stop the horn until you get your keys. Then reconnect the negative terminal and proceed to step one.
thaks.

What do the user manuals for the car and alarm have to say? Have you asked the manufacturer?

Testimonial: "I don't have a users manual for the alarm system."

How do I disable a factory car alarm in a chrysler concord 1998

To remove the factory alarm, you need to replace the body computer, and the engine computer with units that are not alarm enabled ($500). It can't be bypassed any other way except with ******* black market defeat devices

How do you enable a factory alarm after it's been disabled

Ah! Now we're getting a bit more information. Same advice applies. The simplest sources of information are user manuals and service manuals, not forgetting the manufacturer. Presumably the keyless remote functions OK othwise? If you are no further forward after this then ask an alarm specialist.

A shop worked on my 98 mustang. they disabled the factory alarm. how do i enable the alarm so i can use the remote entry, etc.

The only sure way is to ask them where they disconnected it. I don't know if they unplugged a connector, cut a wire, or pulled a fuse. If they did this inadvertently, they should repair it at no charge.

How to set factory alarm without remote, togle switch enabled

factory alarms are passive, if it is working it sets itself when u exit the car. u don't need the remote for the alarm to work if it has a factory system. if u want to test if it is working lock the car with the power lock button and leave the window down, reach inside the car and open the door from the inside handle, the alarm will sound if it is working, to disarm just lock and unlock driver door with the key..

i am presuming that this is the factory fitted unit.

it sounds like one of the door locks is worn or miss aligned, and saying to the system that the door is not shut correctly

Need to disarm antitheft alrm in my 99 fierbird

You might have a problem with the antitheft system, I don't know what you've done or tested so far. But usually with the alarm enabled there wont be any start at all. It does sound like there is a problem with the ignition switch, but that's only if it starts and stalls after you let the ignition key go. The anti-theft alarm, is this a VTD, factory system, a factory alarm system, or an aftermarket alarm?
