I have located the fusebox behind the glove box but it hasn't got a panel so I can only see the fusebox itself and the fuses with the voltage on. I have searched for pictures indicating which fuse is which but cant find anything

First off, make sure if you are replacing the fuse yourself, take the keys OUT of the ignition and put them in your pocket!
I'm not 100% sure, but there should be a fuse box under the hood on the driver's side. In the lid of the box after you remove it (or on a label on the top of the box) is usually a diagram showing the location and function of all the fuses in that box. I think it's listed in the manual as being fuse spot F54. If my sources are correct it should be a 20amp (yellow) fuse but always check the recommended fuse replacement by the diagram or in your owner's manual.
A helpful tool to buy from an auto parts store or auto parts section of a wal mart or k-mart, is an automotive fuse puller with extra replacement fuses for your car. If you're unsure of what fuse is the right one, take the old fuse out carefully with needle-nose pliers and take it to the store to compare. If you take out the right fuse, driving with out it should not harm your car in any way (it's broken already).
I hope I could help you find the right fuse box for the cigarette lighter. Good luck, and don't forget to rate! Thank you.

rayann i do believe the fuse block you need is behind the glove box and you will find the one marked lighter. you might invest in the childreds car manual for the car also reading this instead of watching television can sure pull you feet from the fire one day

use a test light or pull them to ensure they are not blown otherwise replace them if you are trying to use the cigarette lighter itself they do burn out a few dollars for a new one but yes check the fuses themselves
