Well, I will tell you that the electric plug that is on the low pressure A/C switch will engage the compressor clutch when you put a jumper wire in the electric plug. This is done sometimes to draw in Freon to charge the system and then eliminated when there is enough Freon pressure to cause the low pressure switch to work again. Then the pressure switch will cycle as Freon pressure builds.
In no manner should any attempt be made to operate (drive) the vehicle with the switch bypassed as it will destroy the compressor and possibly melt the serpentine belt and parts will go flying. IF the system is low on Freon after 9 years a boost of Freon with sealer will help.
You need some tools with a pressure gauge for A/C. The ideal amount of Freon is what the manufacturer shows on the A/C label plus oil.
There are other tools like Vacuum pumps which take the moisture out of a system. If the system is not empty, you may be able to add Freon. Read up on this more.
