I have a 2005 Silverado with galaxy remote start that trys to turn over engi e but doesn't seem to crank long enough to start it

these are notorious for fuel pump failures which is an electronic in-tank pump....it will run for a few seconds when you turn on the key but do not start the engine so you can hear it run in a very quiet place...listen for it and if its all quiet ,that thing is potentially not running ...good luck

i had the same problem, and it turned out the coil pack was moulding inside wich stopped the spark all together, i ended up changing my coil pack and putting on new wires because the ends connected to the coil were very corroded and that cures the not running part just fine

2005 silverado cranks but will not start. The fire is weak. The fire is hot when after cranking. Tries to when you let off key. I change crank sensor, modual, distrubtor cap. Fuel pressure is 55lbs.

have a load test done on the battery to check for dead cells . The problem you describe is that there is not enough current available to turn the starter and for the spark as well and just as you stop trying to start the spark is good because the starter is not drawing all the current

fuel pump bad. also change fuel filter. the pressure is always good when sitting, but when you turn it over it prob drops when trying to start. and these vortec need high fuel pressure

2005 Silverado won't start

Assuming this is a crank no start, open the gas cap, put your ear to the fuel fill as close as possible. Have an assistant turn the key on, you should hear the pump turn on for approximately 2 seconds. If it does not, have the assistant crank the engine while you hit the bottom of the fuel tank with a hard rubber mallet. Sometimes this will jar the pump enough for it to run.

My 05 Silverado 1500 4X4 started clunking in time with speed but goes away when turning eithr direction or when braking. Also it doesn't seem to happen when first being driven in the morning.

Sounds like it might be a cv joint or also called the cv halfshaft.

1996 Chevy silverado won't start when wet out

Start with a set of plug wires, since it seems to happen in the wet weather, and pick up a can of wd40 or wiredry to keep in the truck.Hope this helps.

My chevy silverado 96 v8 dies suddenly. just stop running like it wasnt getting gas and turned off. now it wont start at all make a clicking noises when it trys to turn over.

Mine just did this...a new fuel pump was necessary. Located in the gas tank of all places. Total cost $887.83
