Need help with a 2005 9-3 saab not starting, steering wheel wont lock and car wont start. please help..

Hello, My car ran just fine then when I went to start it today it will crank but not start. Steering wheel is unlocked, key goes in and out and turns but will not start. No steering wheel warning on dash but does say traction control and stability control warning and gear box warning.. Battery is good..all fuses are good. fuel pump good. starter good..has gas..what now? only issue is steering wheel will not lock and it wont start. please help.

You will need to get the car to a Saab mechanic who can run a scan tool on it and see what fault codes are thrown up. Unless you run a diagnostic you are just taking a wild guess at what the cause of the problem is.

Wont start. it has power - it appears the steering wheel wont lock. is there some safety feature that prevents the van from starting if the steering wheel isn't locked? can I fix this myself?
ON some cars you have to have it in neutral with the foot on the brake before it will start. On others you will also need the hand/emergency brake on as well.. Check the owners hand book for starting procedures.

hello, i am new to forum and new owner of a renault megane 2003 ( shake ur ***, they called it...) just in case you now have solution to this problem , it might help me too. What my own problem is: my megane automatic starts and drive fine, but when parked and card removed, dashboard stays on with steering not locked warning, and also my ABS warning is always on too. Try rotating the steering wheel in both directions while applying rotational force on the key.

I have had this problem on a F150 where the person pulled in their driveway and proceeded to turn the car off but turned the wheel while the powersteering was still on, when the engine stopped the steering wheel rotated and locked from the force of the truck.

Hello,1ºdesmount ignition coil and check if smeel burned,if coil is ok 2ºturn on ignition and listen if fuel pump is working(lift up back seat to listen better) or can be cranckshaft sensor(check with multimeter on OHM)

Your ignition lock probably has sticky pin inside of tumbler.
Try spraying some WD40 or PB Blast into the key cylinder.

Car will not start and steering wont unlock
Your steering wheel may be jammed. This happens when you park on an incline and the force of the car rolling back jams the steering. Try to turn the steering wheel hard in one direction while trying to crank, then the other direction if the first doesn't work. You may need to take pressure off of the steering lock by pushing the car a little bit.
