Most dodges take 5 quarts of 5w30. but to be sure it will say in your owners manual which grade and how much to use.

5w20 is the grade recommended by Dodge. This is a fuel mileage recommendation. A minute increase per tank, but over the course of mileage. A huge savings in the long run.
There is a Big but with this. If you live in warm/ hot summer climate. And haul/ tow heavy loads. Then 5w30/ 10w30 is the grade of oil to use. Forget about it axle snake oil additives they are a waste of money.
Don't waste your money on high priced name brands either. Imperial Oil packages the same oil in different name brand containers. With the exception of Castrol. They blend real additives into the oils they sell.

Motor oil type

The owner's manual should tell you what the recommended oil should be. Unless they totally screwed up on your oil viscosity, I don't think it's should be too noticeable. Perhaps they did not put the same oil filter, and put in a cheap filter too?
