SOURCE: where is the fuel pump reset switch on my 98 dodge
There is likely a fuse and a relay. The relay is usually under the hood in a black plastic box along with other relays. The fuse is usually near by. Look under the lid of the box as the components are labeled there. Use a test lamp that says computer safe to check the power at the fuse when an assistant turns the key on. The light should come on for a few seconds and then turn off. You may have a failed fuel pump that is causing the fuse to blow. IF replacement of the fuel pump is nessecary, the cargo box will have to be removed (easier than removing fuel tank). ONLY replace with a complete fuel pump module as pump only replacements have a high failure rate. I know, I had to replace twice before getting the complete unit.
SOURCE: how to get the fuel pump out of the gas tank on a
you have one or two options you can slide the bed off of the frame enough to gain acess to the top of the fuel tank or you can drop the tank if you drop the tank its better if its not full of gas makes for easier handiling either way once you get access to the top of the tank you will have to use a straight edge and a hammer in order to release the locking tab on the pump once the tab is free you will be able to pull the pump out of the tank. reverse the process in order to reinstall.
