SOURCE: Type of oil for Saturn sl1
no, but with a older vehicle like this, it does not hurt to use a thicker oil grade like 10w30. i would also use this oil stabilizer called Lucas engine oil treatment once a year. it goes in like molasses and from experience, it cures the light engine knock.
SOURCE: I need to know where the starter is located
Located on rear of block.2 13mm bolts attach starter to block.Top bolt is not fun to reach on the ground.
SOURCE: does saturn sl1 1995 have a timing belt
No the Saturn S-series all use a timing chain. The chain is expected to outlive the car given the proper maintenance of oil changes and the proper level is maintained.
SOURCE: where is starter located on 1998 saturn sl1
Starter is located underneath the intake manifold on the back side of the engine. It is bolted into the bell housing of the transmission so that the gear on the starter meshes with the ring gear. Tough to get to, especially if you do not have a lift.
Everyone can find the battery. With the hood up and standing in front of the car look down and to the left of the battery. That big bell on its side shaped metal thing is the bell housing. Follow it around to the rear of the engine.
