The first check is for proper grounding...If you have a multi-meter digital or with an analog meter, set it on the lowest scale...Place one lead on the clean top of the negative battery post and the other on bare metal of the chassis (fender bolt is proper)...meter must read less than 50 ohms...Continue holding lead on battery - post...Place the other on clean metal of engine...Same results; less than 50 ohms...If reading is high (1500 ohms;example) The vehicle needs 2 ground straps, one between - battery post and clean metal of chassis the other from chassis too engine...Without knowing if grounding is OK truck will have symptoms as you described...saailer

SOURCE: need a wiring diagram for 1994 s10 blazer 4.3 vortex

that's simple --got a printer
well free create a free log on autozone.com
next let your fingers do the walking --point and click --better than a HAynes or Chilton ---will be vehicle and engine specific --another note woth making --if the vacuum diagram ever peals off in the engine bay/fan shroud --you can get that off the site too --I'd suggest downloading and saving or print it and keep it in the glove box ---at some point you WILL need it
there are up to 4-5 diagrams available for the blazer ---print them all if need be then compare a few color coded wires and BAM --you found the right one ---easy peasy
all free
if this helps write a review--free advice and I am RIGHT
that's where I go for that stuff and seemingly only there --I don't buy their product RARELY either --I use rockauto.com

SOURCE: fuel pump doesn't work -

the fuel pump operates off the oil pressure switch the first 5 seconds upon starting. to test turn the key to the on position and listen for the fuel pump running. it does this to prime the pressure up and to stat the engine
if not heard replace the oil switch. the way this operates is when the engine reaches full oil pressure the computer shuts off the oil switch and turns on the fuel pump relay to continued the circuit to the pump

SOURCE: 1987 s10 chevy truck 4x4 not engaging

By the way, if that happens again (Same thing happened to me) It was inside the front diff. That vacuum actuator that sits on the passenger side that has a vacuum hose going up to it has a built in cable that plugs into the front diff. There are little springs that go bad and there is no tension on the cable. It retracts but doesn't engage the axle.

It's 3 bolts, then pry it open just enough to get access to the spring that holds the cable together. ;) That's how I fixed my problem permanently

2007 Chevy Impala, clicking noise starts BEFORE key in ignition. Why?

If your 2007 Chevy Impala is making a clicking noise before the key is even inserted into the ignition, it could be caused by a few different issues. Some potential causes include:
  1. Faulty starter motor: The starter motor is responsible for starting the engine when the ignition is turned on. If the starter motor is faulty or has worn out, it may make a clicking noise as it tries to engage with the flywheel.
  2. Loose or damaged starter motor relay: The starter motor relay is an electrical component that sends power to the starter motor when the ignition is turned on. If the relay is loose or damaged, it may cause a clicking noise.
  3. Low battery: If the battery is low on charge or has gone bad, it may not have enough power to start the engine, causing a clicking noise.
  4. Other electrical issues: There may be other electrical issues, such as a loose connection or a problem with the ignition switch, that are causing the clicking noise.
To determine the cause of the clicking noise, it is recommended to bring your vehicle to a mechanic or a dealership for further diagnosis and repair. They will be able to test the starter motor, battery, and other electrical components to determine the source of the problem and recommend the appropriate repairs.

My 2003 chevytrailblazer motor did roll over but now it dont

Check Battery, if you try to charge or jump starter you may hear a click. If you're sure its a good charged battery then consider starter. Try to jump starter by passing switch, cross small wire to larger wire on starter (you may get sparks) (please be careful if you try this) this should make the starter spin & kick in turning the engine. If it only spins then its probably the starter solenoid. If this checks out then check ignition switch & harness connections. That's it..

97 chevy suburban AC clutch won't engage pressures

Looks like the low pressure switch gets power from a 10amp ac fuse. Power then goes to the ac relay which is powered on by the ac heat controller on the dash. Power then goes thru the high pressure switch to the compressor. The ac relay is grounded to the body. Do you have power on the lite and dark green wires going into the relay and is it grounded ?

I have a 1998 Chevy Lumina. The battery has been going dead about every 3 days if not started once per day and about two weeks ago, it began to not start at all, even when jumped. Starter doesn't engage...

well u may have discharged the battery so many time that it may not be any good now. but if u have a known good battery in the car u can do a parisitic drain test u will need to disconnect the negative batery terminal and clamp ur amp meter leads between the neg terminal and batery post. make sure doors are closed and everything is off b4 u start. u want to have less then half and amp or 500 miliamps. start removing and replacing fuses until the amperage drops to withing specification then u have found ur problem circuit

If when you jump the starter with a screwdriver & it spins without engaging the flywheel - I would say with reasonable confidence that the starter is bad..
