SOURCE: Pickup wont start

well you can short over the starter and see if it starts. honestly i would remove the starter and take it to your local autozone. they will check it for free. also check the start solenoid. they have a tendency to cause the same effect.

Did you try to replace the starter cable? is the Truck turning over or just clicking.? If it's turning over and not starting. Best guess would be one of two things. Knock sensors Located under intake manifold. they get wet and deteriorate or the fuel pump. I've replaced all three on mine. 233k still running strong...

SOURCE: STARTER WONT ENGAGE ONLY CLICKS UNDER HOOD STATER

If the clicking sound is coming from the engine bay, from the relay, you may want to have the starter itself checked out. You need to check if the ground cable from the engine to the chassis is secured. If that is OK, you may want to have the starter motor checked.

Try giving the starter a whack with a hammer or end of broomstick if it tries or goes, replace the starter

Testimonial: "actually the soleniod.or maybe just the terminals to it.they were a little corroded.i loosened the nuts and sprayed and cleaned them..now it works."

Lots of power, dash lights up but no ignition power to starter, relay changed, neutral start switch changed, fuses good.

Well, looking at the schematic, there is the IGN A (Fuse 6) in the under-hood fuse block feeding power to both the ignition switch and to the NO contact of the starter relay. Turning the ignition switch to the START position sends this voltage thru the CRANK (Fuse 8) in the instrument panel fuse block and thru the PARK/NEUTRAL position switch, thru the starter relay coil to ground. This should activate the Starter relay and pass voltage to the starter solenoid to ground, activating it. One the starter solenoid activates, batter power is sent to the starter motor, activating it. If, as you say, the fuses are good, the starter relay was replaced and is good, and the Park/Neutral position switch was replaced and is good, then then only items left are the ignition switch itself, the starter solenoid/motor, or the wiring of the circuit.

2003 yukon will not turn over. When I turn the key all the dash lights come on. It started doing this about 6 months ago. It would usually start after 2 or 3 tries or if i put in nuetral and let roll a few...

It could be the starter has a dead spot, the battery voltage is weak, the ignition switch itself, the antitheft passkey or the neutral safety switch..it could also be a bad brake switch. The shift /start interlock is connected to the brake switch...
troubleshooting..... 1) put a test light on the small wire on the starter and see if it lights when attempting to start.if it has 12v or the test light is bright,,but will not crank, tap the starter gently with a plastic hammer,if it cranks the starter is bad.2) make sure the security light is going out.If not it is not reading the passkey and the ignition is faulty.3)when it does not start, jumper with a good battery and see if it starts if it does the battery voltage is low.4) make sure the brake lights go on with every application of the brake pedal.5)try to start in neutral instead of park when the failure occurs,if it does...the neutral safety switch is no good.
best of luck

My 2005 Yukon denali won't start, I have replaced the fuses, relays, the starter, the ignition switch, battery, and removed the alternator and had it checked. The truck still will not start without me...

My guess would be the anti theft security system. When this system starts to fail, it turns off the starter from the ignition. The fact that you can hard start it proves this.
