Started out as just the rear drivers door speaker going out and has progressed to only the 2 A pillar speakers working.
Probably blown speakers (do you have a teenager?) Access speakers on at a time and you can use a AA battery to test each. Hook up wires to battery and jump to speaker to see if it clicks or moves.
Sounds like a possible ground short. To perform a ground test to check weather a component is properly grounded disconnect the battery, connect one lead of a self-powered test light, known as a continuity tester, to a known good ground. Connect the other lead to the wire or ground connection being tested. If the bulb goes on the ground is good. If it does not go on the ground is not good. Good Luck
Does this system have a separate booster amp somewhere? If not, problem may be at the speaker connections, but I've not seen a case where so many have failed over time with each failure being at the individual speaker, but if so, seems like a bad design flaw at a connection point. Find one and the others may be the same. Good luck.
