This is a bulletin number for a glow plug issue. If one tests bad you will need them all replaced.
If you have less than 100k miles on the truck you should still be under warranty.

Having the same exact problem but with my 1999 escalade. Thought it was the actuator bought a new one installed it transfer case would engage but front end wouldnt lock. Took it out of housing left it plugged in got a friend to go through all the 4wd for me and the plunger never moved out the actuator. Checked my wiring harness which is a four prong ann it had one hot prong like it is suppose to. Traced wires even replaced dash switch same problem. Taking it to local dealership tom to have it checked for codes. I was told it could be the transfercase actuator even though its workin that actuator is what sends power to the front to engage the actuator to lock the differential.

Well its really not that bad but more info would be usefull year make model ? if its a ford sd go to beans deisel.com they have a breakdown for the dp tuner which is very simalar to install ...lots of pics heck there is even a video on you tube :) good luck and have some fun :)

I recommend you have the person who installed it fix this. It sounds like when the installer spliced into the tach signal wire, and other wires that they may have broken the wires, preventing the instrument cluster from registering the tach, cruise, etc. If all worked fine before you had this system installed, and now you have these problems, the installer of this system should be responsible for repairing it. If you are experienced with electronics and automobile electrical systems, you could easily find and fix these problems with a multi-meter and some electrical tape. You might also want to check your fuses to see if any have blown that might prevent the operation of the glow plugs, engine, or lights.
