Have broken wire on sensor signal wire from connecter to ecu mines 4 pin am i right in assuming two are positive and two are negative have tested wires only got 1 live the wire that i think is broken is green and black have traced wire to ecu am i right in thinking that all wires that come out ecu are all different colours as want to do bypass on wire have traced wire and found green and black wire is this the correct wire to bypass thanks my car is 3.3 v6 grand voyager 53 reg
If u mean bypass as in putting a new wire in, I'd be in plugging the Ecu connector and lambda sensor then running a simple test to make sure u got the right wire , a four wire lambda is 2 heater wires usually the same colour which when on is positive 1 5v Ecu feed and a earth

it sounds like you may have the wires on the wrong coil. It should be #1 on the #4 coil, and the #3 wire on the #2 coil. you probably have them backwards so 1 and 3 are firing on the exhaust stroke.
the firing order is 1-3-4-2.
they should be hooked like this.

pin 86 and pin 30 at the relay should have power then your right about ground supplied from the ecu and the other goes to the starter solenoid check for battery voltage on those 2 pins 86 and 30 one fuse is under the hood and the other is under the dash.
