HOW TO RESET ABS LIGHT ON 06 TACOMA

Locate the 16 pin Data Link Connector under the steering side.
To clear fault codes, switch off ignition, connect jumper wire between terminals TS (pin 12) and CG (pin 4). Switch the key on, then pump the brake pedal eight or more times in three seconds or less. When codes are erased, the ABS light should flash two times per second.

Switch off the ignition. Remove the jumper wire.
Hope that works.
If problem persists, contact a service personnel.

Key won't come out of ignition on 1999 vw jetta

IGNITION KEY WILL NOT RELEASE

It can be faulty ignition lock cylinder. I suggest to wiggle the steering wheel a bit and see if the key gets released out. If that is not helping then first turn steering wheel to right and try removing the key, or next turn steering wheel to left and see if you can remove the key.

----------

Spray wd-40 in the ignition key hole and let it remain there for few minutes, after that once again try to remove the key and see if that helps.

---------

But if that is not helping then ignition lock cylinder has to be removed out and key has to be manually removed.

How do i remove and replace ignition switch on 1998 Toyota Tacoma

I depress the pin for the ignition with it in ACC, but the switch will not come out. When I depress the pin, it starts to come out about 1/4 inch but no more. There is no give at all after that. Is there a further trick I need to do or something else? The vehicle is a 1998 standard 2.4l Tacoma.

Program my remote

Program your factory keyless entry functions
For 2001+ Tacomas equipped with a factory alarm or keyless entrymag-glass_10x10.gif, here are some programming options that allow you to adjust the way your locks work.
The first programming option allows you to set the entry unlock to: (A) unlock the driver door with one push, and the remaining doors with a second push OR (B) unlock all of the doors with a single push.
  • Open the driver's door. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  • (Complete these steps within 40 seconds)
    1. Insert the key into and remove it from the ignition switch 2 times.
      (IN - OUT - IN - OUT)
    2. Close, then open the driver's door 2 times.
      (SHUT - OPEN - SHUT - OPEN)
    3. Insert the key into and remove it from the ignition switch 1 time.
      (IN - OUT)
    4. Close, then open the driver's door 2 times.
      (SHUT - OPEN - SHUT - OPEN)
    5. Insert the key into the ignition switch and leave it in.
    6. Close the driver's door.
    7. Turn the key from LOCK to ON 4 times, ending at LOCK
      (LOCK - ON - LOCK - ON - LOCK - ON - LOCK - ON - LOCK)
    8. Wait for the locks to stop, then remove the key from the ignition switch.
  • On the key fob, press and release both LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the same time.
    1. [For all doors unlock] press and release the UNLOCK button.
    2. [For driver door unlock] press and release the LOCK button.
  • Open the driver's door. The programming is complete. If programming did not occur, start over.

Ignition switch.

This is the method for removing the lock and key switch ,not the electrical portion.
remove the screws from the bottom of the shroud. Remove the lower shroud so you can get a good clear view of the ignition lock. There is a small silver pin (retainer) that is holding the lock in along the bottom of the ignition housing. While applying pressure to the pin with an icepick or similiar tool turn the key clockwise until you feel the pin drop into the lock. At this point you can remove the lock cylinder with a little help of a flatbade screwdriver.
