Run the fault codes and look for problem accelerator position sensor or throttle motor

1995 Chevy K1500 idles fine but bogs/stalls when accelerating.

K1500 PICKUP. ? 5.7 TBI. GAS
i will assume eng. compression good and spark good and timed by the book.
it's staving for fuel.!
fuel pressure not at spec,
fuel pressure regulator bad.
injector clogged (injectors screens inside packed)
bad fuel (was bad now bad fuel is in all that path)
MAP sensor bad or clogged up. EGR stuck open
meter mAp pin out,1.5vdc out, keyon to 4.5V WOT (wide open throttle)

we test fuel pressure 3 ways
key pressure
idle
and WOT
the manual covers that, buy the service manual?
so the pressure specs for TBI are at hand./?
there is no fuel rail like MPI so has very odd connections to do pressure tests TBI. (below)
you do know most injectors have 10micron screens inside, and only ultra sonic reverse cleaning cures them right? (or new injectors) I send mine out for pro cleaning, (Usonic)

the hard part of 1995 TBI is getting the TBI specs.
the manuals were 500 pages paper and nobody digitized all page or skipped most the Injection pages.
it is a problem but the used books are sold at EBAY
from GM (real)

rumor has it
"In stock form a tbi operates 11 to 13 psi running a bit higher makes them run better to a point of about 14.5"
the TBI if you look close has a FPR, seen here
it must be good.(diaphragm)
some TBI have 2 injectors, start+idle (and fast run)
as seen here

next up how to read the pressure (tap ports)
I think this is a returnless system (early)
so they make up filter tap point. fuel. or TEE fitting.

2005 Hyundai accent sudden loss of acceleration/power and rumbling noise

If you invested all the money you've spent on parts, you could have paid for a qualified technician to troubleshoot and repair your problem, and have only paid for parts you needed. Now you want someone who may have no qualifications, and no opportunity to even see the vehicle, to troubleshoot your unresolved problem. LOL

My 94 full size blazer starts and idles fine in park and in neutral. When I put the truck in gear and hit the gas, it'll start, then act like it wants to die. The Catalytic converter is off, I'm...

This could be a bad ground on the ECM. When it is in park it is open loop. When you put it in gear, the ecm goes closed loop with the oxygen sensors and with no ground it dies.

Kia optima hesitant acceleration

could be spark plugs, dirty fuel filter, air filter, Mass Air Flow Sensor. bad spark plug wires. Dirty throttle body or injectors. I would start with the cheapest and work my way to the more expensive things if it doesn't improve.

No power in 5th gear

Hi Pocketlock.
Have you tried tuning it up?
Try changing your spark plugs, wires, and change your air filter. You can also put an injector cleaner in your gas tank. (Techron or Seafoam are good products, Techron is better in my opinion). You should see a difference in engine performance. Hope this helps.

What would cause this vehicle to use execessive gas.

1) dirty air filter

2) vacuum leak

3) false reading from mass air flow sensor

4) false reading from coolant temperature sensor

5) improper tires inflation

6) topping off gas when fill-up (soaking emission lines with fuel)

7) Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) and breather element clogging

8) Exhaust Gas Recirculation(EGR) Valve stuck with carbon and EGR passage tube is block with carbon.

9) low or dirty transmission fluid + filter (if it's an automatic)

10) excessive load

Won't accelerate faster than 55mph. Loses pwr..

When you losing speed, do you lose RPM? This is important. 1- If you don't lose RPM then you have a problem with your torque converter. 2- If you lose RPM then you have a problem with fuel air mixture and this is controlled by ECM. Usually ECM is not a problem, but the problem is coming from other sensors contributing fuel: air mixture control like Air mass flow control ans Oxygen Sensor besides the throttle body valve is gummed up and need a through clean. So try to address the last one first then follow in reverse order if the case is in # 2. Good luck.

1996 Mitsubishi Montero has no power..

My 96 Pajero SWB 3.0 would loose power as soon as i accelerate. It feels like the spark plugs are miss firing or if the engine was flooded.

I did a general service which included oil change, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs i checked my O2 sensor, dissembled and cleaned throttle body and sensors. Cleaned air intake sensor as well as the distributer etc.

Problem not solved, still loose power when i accelerate....can it be something wrong with my ECU??

My A/C control isnt working at all. Found a 15Amp fuse that was blown but when replaced it shorts again. Where can i get a wiring diagram of the heater/a/c system for my vehicle model?

Engine sputtering

how long has it been since the air filter and fuel filter been changed ,oxygen sensor in good shape ,if its running rich from misfiring you will ruin the catalytic converter in a short time check for vacuum leaks if its only no 1 cylinder then focus there maybe bad injector only sure way to tell is inspect spark plugs they should look brownish gray color and dry
