2005 chevy tahoe with cars turns over, but will not start. Worked fine the day prior to the problem, but hasn't started since. Battery is fine, ignition seems fine, but no fire. No prior issues. 50K miles.
Fuel pump??? two ways to test one good, one not so good. fist, without cranking over the motor, have someone go and listne in the back where the fuel tank is and try and here if there is a whirring sound when the key is put in the on position. you might not be able to here it. second (have a rag handy) undo one of the fuel lines and see if there is any pressure going to it = if none = dead fuel pump. third way....if it is easy to access the top of the fuel tank where the pump is, do so. remove pump and see if it works. also, if its an externally mounted pump, gently tap it with a wrench on the outside of the pump casing...this an actually make them work for a short time.
