New alternator not charging 2000 Ford Excursion V10

Car suddenly stopped charging while driving, warning light for charging came on and battery drained Down. Recharged battery and put in a brand New alternator. Still the car didnt charge the battery. Checked all fuses, all good. Checked all wires and contact, all seemed good. Wondering if there is a fuse on the cable from the alternator to battery/solenoid... Cant find out why it wont charge.

Check for blown fusible link and possible bad relay. On relay, with everything off and hot battery hook u battery and give it ten minuets or so, then feel the top of eac relay. if you find a warm or hot one Bingo!

Fuseable links was okay, but about the relays, u say i should feel on every relays (in motorroom fusebox i assume) after 10min with the battery hooked up (while the car running or not??)

I also started the car and i hooked off the battery while running and engine stopped... so no charge from the alternator at all.

No charge from alt? You said it was new, which of course does not mean it is good, but is it connected correctly? As to battery dying, the relay feel is done with engine off to find the drain, but if alt. is bad that could be the only problem. Have parts store test new unit to be sure.

Many newer cars electrical systems can be severely damaged by disconnecting the battery + while running. Hope yours is not one of those. If the alterntor is not charging, fix that first.

2000 Ford excursion v10. New battery but will only start with a jump sometimes. Gauges go "crazy" and light come on. Radio and AC starts to go out. Shut off while driving down road.

Sounds like a bad connection somewhere.
When you get it started, is the alternator charging the battery ?
Do you have 12 or 13 volts at the starter when it will not crank without a jump ?

Honestly you should send it into the dealer. I don't think guessing will help you. Typically it is a dirty connection into the steering column (behind the ignition key) But diagnostics need to be run and a look at the VSS system (through a good scan tool) is needed to confirm.

Interior Lights Stay On

You have a door adjar light sticking in one of the doors or deck lid.
Take you a can of WD40 open each door and spray it into the latch on the on the side of the doors then open and close it a few times, this will take car of the problem most of the time. Start with the driver door first it is usually the one.

2002 Ford Excursion battery light come on intermittently

Remove power to all aftermarket components, if you know how to use a multi-meter connect to power source inside vehicle.. Drive normal, if voltage drops below 12v while driving, it is faulty alternator. If bat light comes on and voltage is above 12v the plug on the alternator might be correded and throwing faulty light, or bad ground in gauge cluster...

While driving, all warning lights on dash suddenly were lit. When I stopped the car, it wouldn't start again and sounded as though the battery was dead.

Probably the alternator died, then used up all the power in your battery to keep the car running.
Have your alternator tested and maybe replaced. The battery needs tested also.

Hope this helps
