My 99 jeep wrangler is not getting any fire i have checked the crankshaft position sensor and it is working fine as it should based on the tests done with a multimeter . What else could it be? it is a 4 cylinder 2.5 liter engine.
Not getting fire means you checked spark,
or are the exhaust ports silent (no fire there)
did you check all 4 cylinders for spark not just one?
did you scan it, yet, cranking,
99% of times the PCM will tell you P03xx is the reason, cranking. for 5 seconds.
but will not tell you if the rotor, cap /wires or spark plugs are bad.
and all do every 60kmiles. called a
TUNEUP
ever get a real tuneup this decade?
the PCM will in fact log a DTC error.
for dead coil (primary side only)
dead techo line
dead CMP
DEAD CKP and intermittent too.
so scan it or go broke gue$$ing?
it will will show a bad igitor.
why not scan it?
does the distrib. rotor turn cranked.
the free FSM cover this.

I think your 2.5 still has a distributor...check for a cracked cap, or cracked rotor...same symptom...hope this helps.
