My jeep is not getting fire what are the possible reasons its not the crankshaft position sensor or the coil.

My 99 jeep wrangler is not getting any fire i have checked the crankshaft position sensor and it is working fine as it should based on the tests done with a multimeter . What else could it be? it is a 4 cylinder 2.5 liter engine.

not getting fire means you checked spark,
or are the exhaust ports silent (no fire there)
did you check all 4 cylinders for spark not just one?
did you scan it, yet, cranking,
99% of times the PCM will tell you P03xx is the reason, cranking. for 5 seconds.
but will not tell you if the rotor, cap /wires or spark plugs are bad.
and all do every 60kmiles. called a
    TUNEUP
ever get a real tuneup this decade?

the PCM will in fact log a DTC error.
for dead coil (primary side only)
    dead techo line
    dead CMP
    DEAD CKP and intermittent too.
so scan it or go broke gue$$ing?
it will will show a bad igitor.

    why not scan it?

does the distrib. rotor turn cranked.

I think your 2.5 still has a distributor...check for a cracked cap, or cracked rotor...same symptom...hope this helps.

My 2002 jeep wrangler isnt idling right , stalls , hesitation and barely reves. its throwing p0201 , p0202 , p0352 and p0353. the injectors arent bad and im getting a good spark from coil rail ports.

Is this a 4.0 liter or a 2.5 liter wrangler? Sometimes the crankshaft sensor causes these things to make these codes come up. Crankshaft position sensors are very common of going bad on Jeep vehicles.

1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee not getting power to coil

I don't work on Jeeps, but the Rangers have a power relay for the ignition. You might want to try asking at Autozone or O'reillys if the Jeep has any relays. It might be worthwhile to check the fuse panel to see if something blew that might control 2 or 3 things including the ignition. Hope this helps you.

Motor won't start

You need 3 things for a start condition 1 spark 2 fuel 3 compression. If you have lost spark and have changed wires and coil then you should look at the crankshaft position sensor. This sensor tells the computer when to fire the coil and which plug to fire. Hope this helps. I will check back on the 14th.

Intermitent starting

sometimes the ais(automatic idle speed) valve gets loaded with
carbon. its an easy fix. you have to remove the throttle body
invert it and you will see the ais chamber and look in and see if it is
built up with soot. carb cleaner should work.if you can remove
the valve for better cleaning. peterjai
