Recently my Nissan Primera 2002 P12 has taken to ignition firing issues whilst the left indicator is in use the car bunny hops, and nearly stalls on prolonged left signal use, once left indicator is switched off there is no longer a problem and the car accelerates perfectly fine. This does not happen when using the right indicator and all garages I have been too run diagnostic machine and keeps coming back clear and fine. Ran P12's own engine diagnostic and comes back clear as well. getting concerned and annoyed as all "professional" garages just run a diagnostic machine and say it's perfectly fine and send me on my merry way. Have run Red-ex through the system, replaced air-filter and checked sensor, checked exhaust sensor, battery check and all fuses check to ensure not loose or blown still posits has done so for the last 2000 miles, last full service and MOT was 2500 miles ago. Any ideas, please?
Have they checked for a short in the steering column where the signal switch and ignition wires may be touching or shorting together.
Testimonial: "No that hasn't been looked at will look further into that, unfortunately everyone just wants to plug a machine in and wait for the on board computer to tell them what is wrong with it. All I've been told is that until an error code comes up there's nothing to be done (not convinced by that O.o)"
Crank the car and turn the wheels to the left sharply while in a parking lot "without' the signal on and see if it tries to stall. Need to know this to eliminate the steering pressure switch.
Sorry. I know dealerships want the quick way out and diagnostics take time unfortunately. I figure the turn signal wire may be shorting into the ignition circuit wire and causing it to misfire. I'm studying on the wiring diagram trying to understand why.
