Pay close attention to the sound of the engine while it cranks over. The cylinders shd all sound the same as it cranks. If it sounds funny, the head gasket has been damaged. That is an expensive repair
In some cars, you have to depress the switch a little bit further in to start it. I am not familiar with this Mercedes but it is worth trying. In some cars, the key fob has a disabling mode if the key is not activated, the car will not start.
I would say it is the ignition switch. You can try to get the steering wheel unlocked moving it, but usually when the key won't turn, it is the switch or security system. You will need to reset it to find out. Call the dealership if you don't have it.
do you have a sercuity system in ur car.could be the probem..sometimes it could be the chip in ur key that act with ur ignition.clean your key.make sure its not sticky.hopefully its not u anyting to do with ur sercutiy system..did you install an amp in the car..that will screw some cars up
