SOURCE: crankshaft position sensor location

Hello. One way to check if it is working is when you try to start the car does the needle move on you tac? If not then your crank sensor is more then likely the problem. It is located on the backside of the engine under the intake manifold. If is in about the center of the block. There will be a 10mm bolt holding the sensor in. If you decide to change it yourself (not to terrible of a job) unplug the sensor, remove the bolt and spin it back and forth slightly while pulling it out. It may be stoburn and you might have to work at it for a little bit (not a done of room) but it will come. When it's out the sensor will be shaped kind of like an L. I have changed a few of these over time and they can be a little stoburn. To install just reverse the process.

Where are the oxygen sensors on a 2003 dodge sprinter 2500?

On all the cars the oxygen sensors are located just before the catalytic converter. In this position they can measure the excess oxygen in the exhaust gases and adjust the engine to compensate. They will be screwed into a socket on the top of the exhaust pipe. On some cars they also have oxygen sensors just after the catalytic converter as well. Do you know that if you type a question like this into Google you will get an immediate answer, no need to wait for someone here.

Code p2089 dodge sprinter 2007

DTC P2089 A - Camshaft Pos Actuator Ctrl Circ Hi Bank1
On this code the cam or crank sensor is normally the culprit. I would replace the crankshaft position sensor. There is anothe possible sensor that can cause this to happen vehicle speed sensor and engine coolant temp sensor. The way it works is The ECM receives signals such as crankshaft position, camshaft position, engine speed, and engine coolant temperature. Then, the ECM sends ON/OFF pulse duty signals to the intake valve timing control solenoid valve depending on driving status. This makes it possible to control the shut/open timing of the intake valve to increase engine torque in low/mid speed range and output in high-speed range. But the most common problem is the cam or crank sensor Start with the crankshaft sensor and then camshaft sensor.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Diagnostic code P 340 and P 341 Camshaft Position Sensor Malfunction for a Dodge Ram Diesel 2500. What does it mean?

The Camshaft Position Sensor tells the PCM (computer) the position of the Camshaft Position. This Sensor sychronized along with several other Sensors including the Crankshaft Position Sensor the firing of the electronics to the spark plugs of each cylinder.
It is not difficult to replace and relatively inexpensive.
1. Disconnect the Negative side of the Battery,
2. Locate the Sensor and unplug.
3. Remove the Position Sensor retaining bolt.
4. Pull out the Sensor.
Replacement is reverse of above order.
Hint: use fresh engine oil on the end/sides of the Sensor especially around the rubber o-ring(s) to ease pushing the Sensor into proper position.
