the e320 has been known to have elect harness problems the insulation that was used deteriorated and wires were shorting out and or melting the whole harness ---the other is your bcm [body control module ] is damaged or gone bad but look into the harness first
check remote batteries for replacement. they may be dead as for the door locks and trunk. as for the fog light, parking brakes situation a short would make them not work. not stay on. the electrical would be fused for that. a short prevents electric from getting to the load or device. i would not think that fog lights would be linked to parking brakes. did you mean parking brake light? the fog lights should be on a switch by themselves or connected to main headlamps
The problem could be that the door lock itself doesn't work. It could also have some electrical or linkage problems if it locks by itself. I suggest taking it to a locksmith or a shop that deals with these types of problems.
Could be the saftey switch, try starting it in netrual. if that dosen't work, then it could also be the igntion switch. Did you try to bang on the starter while the key's in the start posistion? Sometimes this will 'jog' a worn-out starter. If you have a way to see if voltage is being sent to the starter solinoide would be a way to rule that out. good luck.
okay the dealer may be right, the wiring sometimes breaks from opening and closing trunk, the trunk release operates on the same power as door locks, if door locks work its not a fuse, check the wiring harness in the trunk near hinge, this system is a complex one,so if you dont see a broken wire in the harness,(you will have to untape the wiring to see every wire) have a tech check the system.
