Navigation light/car light/satup light not working

check for codes in the BCM as it controls these systems.

Brake lamp switch may be faulty bridge the two wire together and see if brake lights come on if so get a new switch.

check alternator and belt..may have lost belt

does the 3rd brake light in the back window work? check fuses if fuses are OK and the hazard lights work, then the turn signal switch may be bad. I dont know what your sons suburban (trailer?)has to do with your navigator?

sounds like a faulty ground. check to see if they have a common ground. it might look like a ring terminal with a bundle of wires runnig to it.

also, what engine do you have? It makes wiring diferences.
