SOURCE: Security light is on after the key is turn off in
THAT IS HOW IT IS DESIGNED TO SHOW U THAT IT IS TURNED ON. AND WHEN U CLOSE THE DOOR IT BLINKS TO ACTIVATE SECURITY. NOT TO BE RUDE BUT ALL THIS I BELIEVE IS IN YOUR OWNERS MANUAL IF U WASN'T NOT GIVEN ONE ASK YOUR DEALER FOR ONE THANKS
SOURCE: on my 2010 Toyota Corolla the key occasionally is
The transponder around the key which reads the chip is what the dealer means ,it should not make it excessively hot but it all depends on the person because as a mechanic i dont feel it as hot but the mrs uses a cloth ,so when it feels hot to you ask someone else to have feel as it may not appear hot to them .unless the heater vent is blowing over the key then i dont see why its should get that hot ,could be fault of the model i suppose but this is the first time i have read about this for this model vehicle
there are 5 Corolla's which one, ill guess at
the best way to find that out is , drum roll...... Toyota dot com.,
you go there and look up both parts for both years,
and it if matches, BINGO.
end story.
all by your self. do this research using any PC or public library PC.
what a loaded question, a 100x scale on DANGER !
there are many parts, are you going to guess and change the ALL
one by one>?
why not get the car scanned tested serviced, and save all that Cash. (they have special tools at toyota to do this fast )
here is the base corolla (guess1)
see the parts here. and P./n?
https://parts.olathetoyota.com/2010toyotacorollaparts.html
bingo you are ENABLED.
and only $500 a pop. wow.
looked and ID 2 is 7396002120 (is same)
and matches, but take yours out, then take it to any toyota dealer
and match it. and btw, there is a recall on. so.... it might have
a new partnumber , a part that will not kill you when it explodes.
see national RECALLS.
never guess, ask the man at toyota. this is not childs play.
happy trails. and good luck.
