I had a similar experience with my car. This can be annoying during the summer months. I think you would just need to change the filter, which a mechanic could help you do. http://www.WintersHVAC.com

Temperature Variation Between Driver and Passenger Outlets ! You don't just replace parts , you have to hook up a scan tool !

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. With a scan tool, perform the Recalibrate all Motors command in instrument panel module (IPM) Special Functions.
  4. With a scan tool, observe the current DTC list in the IPM.
Does the scan tool display any DTCs?

Sounds like you have a temp door motor problem on the drivers side. the motors seize/stick and have to be replaced.

I had same problem on 2000 Lesabre blowing cold on passenger and warm on driver. I fixed it by adding more freon even though it had 28 pounds of preasure. Now it works great!

SOURCE: Only cold air on passenger side

I would first check and make sure that you have enough Freon in the system, on climate control dual systems only one side will put out cold air if the system is low on Freon. Eventually, both sides will put out warm/hot air if the system continues to loose Freon. As with all leaks the system should be checked and then the leak causing component replaced/repaired.

SOURCE: AC blows cool air on passenger side but warm on driver's

Yes there is both a door and a flapper you have a problem with a blend door motor, it is not switching to cold it is half open and half closed so you need to replace the motor vacuum motor it is under the dash near the heater on the passenger side and if it is the other motor under dash you will have to take part of the dash apart to get to it, to test buy a piece of vacuum hose 1/8 inch diameter about 3 feet long and you can hook it to each of the vacuum motors and **** on the end of the line to see which one is causing you the problem, also could be the control head for the AC inside the car where the controls are, you have to remove the ac cluster ot get to the vacuum switch it's all vacuum operated and if you pull it out you will be able to here an audible sound of air leaking if it's the switch.

SOURCE: Blows warm air on drivers side, cold on passenger side

Hello,I work on these cars and have issues w/ this in the past. The Buick uses the same evap core as the cadillacs and are considered a (split design),and are true dual hvac system. That being said I have found a slighty low ac fren charge can and dose cause this condition. If the ac has been charged then the issue can be a blend door actuator. This can be found behind the glove box (small black box w/ 4 or 5 wires going into it)held in place w/ 2 or 3 ,5.5mm screws. try to have the ac recharged first and see what happens. Have a great day! RAY

Air conditioner stopped blowing cool air. Added freon. Worked well for a few days. Now only blows cool air on passenger side.

Chances are you have a pretty fast freon leak, and the passenger side will be blowing warm within a few days. I have the same thing happen on a couple of my GM cars, except my leak is very slow; warm driver's side, cold passenger side.

You can try and top off the freon again, but I suspect you're going to have to take it to a shop to find the leak and get it fixed. Plan on spending some big dollars for the repair.

Good Luck.

It sounds like the control motor switching from hot to cold is stuck halfway in between the two temp settings. You will have to take it down and replace it, it is mounted under dash passenger side near the blower motor.
