If the handle is just broken use pliers to pull the cable that hooks to the handle.
If the cable is broken you will have to work through the grill. You will see on the drivers side of the hood latch where the cable enters. You can remove the cable holding bolt if applicable and pull the cable there.
If all that fails you will have to remove teh latch by removing the 2 screws on both sides of the latch.
My hood is stuck on my Ford Windstar van and I can't get it up from the last is broken and it won't pop up with the wire pulling this is another way to get it open
in the engine compartment, drivers side behind the battery in front of the around air filter, there is a fuse compartment. Its a mini fuse a #25 fuse. you have find the latch on the compartment to get it to open! According to the OWNERS MANUAL, fuse/relay #4 in the engine compartment fusebox covers the horns.
is it attached to the hood latch on the inside of the van if so it may be the latch under the hood if its not attched on the inside attach it to the hood latch puller
takeing off your grill is a great starting place to get to your hood release. Another thing to look for is if the cable might be hung up see if u can spray a generous amount of spray lube all over ur hood release and cable.
The "door is locked" switch mechanism in the driver's door is not engaging when the door is closed. It is inside the door panel and right on the latch. It closes a circuot when the door is latched.
I was able to tighten the mounting on mine with some twist-wire and been right as rain for 3, 4 years now
