The sekurit button on the key right does not work right, when you press it once it doesn't do anything, but the vehicle does start.

How do you reset the sekurit so it will only start after you press the button once.

How to erase maintenance is over due

Depends on Product for Volvo XC60 and Volvo s80 Car must be put into T2 start position. You must have more then .10 of a MILE to utilize this!
First insert key into igniton (DO NOT depress Brake pedal) push button next to key to cut vehicle on. Go to odometer and push button to distinguish between t1 and T2 . Once t2 is on screen yo must depress Both ignition start button and odometer button AT SAME TIME until the "i " information starts to blink.. once it blinks 3 times let go of both start button and Odometer button.
Vehicle will be RESET.
Cut vehicle off before doing anything else. Remove key from ignition.
If you fail to do these steps. Car will not be able to have reset done until you have at least 1 tenth of a mile on the odometer again.
Ho pe this helps.. Volvo charges $65. to rest your car.. maintenance button at most 'stealorships'

If the CHANGE OIL SOON indicator flashes two times, the system is resetting. Turn the key off after the the light has finished flashing, then start the vehicle. If the CHANGE OIL SOON indictor comes back on, the engine oil life monitor has not reset. Repeat the procedure again. If the vehicle is equipped with the U20 option code, the vehicle as an oil life low indicator. The oil life low indicator shows an estimate of the oil's remaining useful life. When the oil life index is less than 10 percent, the display will show OIL LIFE LOW. To reset the oil life monitor, press and hold the MODE button until the light appears next to OIL LIFE. Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. The alarm is what is causing the vehicle to not start. You may be able to pull the fuse for the alarm to get it started. There should be a code that can be entered to reset the alarm. Check your owner manual. If not, you may have to contact the dealership to get the code to reset the alarm. Try not to use your key fob to unlock the doors as this will only keep the alarm on. I doubt anything else is wrong with the vehicle. The security alarm will kill the vehicle and cause this. If the fuse doesn't work, you need that code. You may be able to take off the hot side battery post for a few minutes and reset everything. Once you do, don't use the key fob for nothing.

Mechanic was not sure how to reset maintenance overdue message once he serviced car. He tried pressing and unpressing trip odometer a few times without success while car was not running.

2008-2009 Volvos with starter push button on dashboard

The trip odometer must have at least 0.1 mile on it or the light will not reset.
Get in vehicle and do not push down on the brake pedal
Put the key in the slot and push the starter button once
Press and hold down the odometer reset button
While doing this, push the starter button again and hold for 2 seconds
Keep the odometer reset button held in and watch the instrument cluster for the general warning indicator (I) to illuminate. When this happens, release the button.
Turn the vehicle off then back on and verify the message is now out.

I changed the a/c filter and have been trying to reset the light which says a/c filter change required but it won't reset. Can't understand why because I press reset as soon as it comes up...

All those lights etc on the right side of your dash
are not tied to anything

You don't have to change anything
or do anything. Oil,Cabin Filter etc

2003 audi a4 had dead battery, charged battery and now the key fob won't work and the security lights flash for about 5 min everytime I do anything to the car. why ?

Synchronization
When
Key buttons operated repeatedly while vehicle out of range and system becomes inoperative. Key batteries replaced.
How - early models
Depress lock or unlock button. Manually lock and unlock driver's door within 30 seconds. System should operate normally after approximately 1 minute. If not, carry out programming procedure.
How - late models
If vehicle locked, manually unlock driver's door using key. Press key unlock button once. Switch ignition ON and OFF. Remove key from ignition switch. Press key lock or unlock button once. System should now operate correctly.

I can't lock the car using the remote key. the light flashes on the key but does not lock the doors

try reprograming the remote, if that doesn't work u may need a new remote these are the factory instructions.
1. Switch ignition on with a key (don’t start the engine!); leave key in the ignition.
2. Mechanically lock vehicle at left front door, using second key.
3. On remote unit, press "Open" button once. A short horn signal will sound.
he "Open" button is pressed once for programming the first, or a single,
remote unit.
�� When programming additional remote units for the second, third or fourth
memory addresses, press the "Open" button two, three or four times, in
one-second intervals.
�� Example: press the "Open" button once, wait 1 second, then press once
again to program the second remote unit.
�� After 6 seconds, press "Open" button once to activate the coding ocess.

4. The remote unit will now be coded, and it can be used to unlock the central
locking system. Switch ignition off.

The key must be removed from the ignition before the remote unit can be used to lock
the vehicle.The coding process can be repeated up to 4 times for additional remote units.
In between each remote unit coding, the ignition must be switched off.

This is the procedure for a reprogram of the remote's from the factory service manual, if it doesn't work then u may have a receiver issue.
Use this Procedure for Vehicles with
Driver Information Center Buttons

This information is in your Owners Manual in the
Drivers Information Center Section.

1. Insert Key and turn to ON position so you can access Driver Information Center

2. Press the vehicle information button until
PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY displays

3. Press the set/reset button until

4. Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the first keyless remote at the same
time for approximatley 15 seconds. A chime will sound indicating that the remote is
