Location of the fuel filter on a 1988 cacillac El Dorado 4.5 l v8

According to what you stated the problem comes from the fuel supply again. The installation was correct fitted ? Check again whether the fuel pump is in a correct place and level. Probably there is a special location for the fuel pump seat. If it is in a wrong level or location on turning any curve the pump is not having a good suction with enough fuel send to the engine and dies. Also check whether after the last night if fuel is coming out or not. If is negative check if the fuel pump is working or not. If is not,check for any fuse or relay. If pump is working but not fuel comes out check : a) do you have enough fuel in the tank?, b) check for a blogged fuel filter, c) broken pipe line.

Find the fuse box either under the hood or under the dashboard and pull off the cover. The fuse locations are either on the fuse plug in area or on the cover you just removed!

The filter is located inside the frame under the drivers side door(under the Truck). Do not try and open the clamp, disconect the fuel lines and gently slide the filter out

Error?? That is very vaugue, errors have codes that we need to help. Have it scanned to see what comes up.

check computer banks

Check the engine bay. I saw a Park Avenue, about same year, with the compressor mounted, if I recall, on the passenger side, but definitely was in the engine bay.
If not there, most likely place would be in the rear wheel well area. Follow the air hose from the struts to the compressor.

if i am thinking right this morning (wheres my coffee?).....lol....u have 2 injetors in the top of the trottle body ...but here is a couple ?s...did u clean out the fuel tank?....and have u check the fuel pressure regulator???.....and for better locations of parts.....check component location on autozone.com

northstar? is located on driverside wher the water pump is right infront of the radiator. it has 2 10mm bolts holding the thermostat in place. the engin coolant temp sensor is located on the driver side on the motor towards the fire wall

follow the fuel line up from the gas tank and you will find a round canister this is the filter also it is usually located on the driver side under that area

The thermostat is located on the engine side of the upper radiator hose.
