Passenger sliding door wont open stays in locked mode.
SOURCE: Sliding door lock
If you check the doorlock actuator it is more than likely bad. On my caravan I had to replace actuators on both sliders. Cannot get correct actuators at autoparts stores. Either go to a salvage yard or to the dealer to get them.

I would start by pulling the door panel off the inside. This will give you a look at the lock and handle mechanism to see what is amiss. Suspect a broken, fallen link that may now be lying in the bottom door channel and retrievable with magnetic pick-up tool. Get a good trim removal tool since a panel that large is easy to mar if you try pulling it with a screwdriver. Have a helper assist with the job and start by pulling the rear and middle seats if you can. To cheat on this, you may want to pull the panel on the opposite door to see how everything is supposed to look.

According to our owners manual, turn the ignition key from off on four times ending in off, then press your hazard switch one. the car will ding, and your flashers won't flash when a slide door is opened anymore. repeat the procedure to turn it back on.

I assume it has power locks, so I would look inside the door for a bad door lock solenoid or linkage rod is off. If it is not power, I would look for a linkage rod being disconnected or broken
U will have to take the inside door cover off and manualy open it. And replace the electric door locking switch. Very common problem. Get the new lock and latch assembly from dealer,
