A scan test will not identify where an open circuit is located. It will only identify which components circuit that may be open. How do they know there is an open in the circuit that you have mentioned?

Testimonial: "the airbag light is on and the message center says to service airbag. The mechanic hooked up scanner we went into shop and on his computer the scan results came through and it located the open circuit,it could have been on a specific part and that is where i was told that is where part is"

Can you supply me with the airbag code that was retreived? The area you are reffering to is the drivers kick panel area and there should be no sensors in that location. There may be wiring but a scan test cannot isolate an open circuit in wiring. Diagnostics must be performed to locate an open circuit

What should I check and/or reset on a '94 Camaro to get it to start after a minor collision which deployed the airbags?

If fuel pump issue, check the fuel pump relay. I wasn't sure of engine size, may not make a difference. Check the relay wiring circuits. The pink wire is voltage to load side of relay, fuse protected, goes hot with the key on. You can use a test lite to check for voltage. The control side of relay, left side, needs voltage and ground, that bottom wire is a chassis ground. That top wire is voltage, should be hot with engine cranking, comes from pcm. Hopefully that relay is located behind driver side kick panel, to the left of foot-well. If it isn't located in that area, then, I don't know?

Could be a wiring problem or the clockspring in the steering column.
You would need to pull the steering wheel and test the circuits.

Explorer airbag code 32

Code 32
Driver Side Air Bag Circuit High Resistance or Open. Possible open circuit in air bag rotating contact under the steering wheel referred to as the clock spring contact. Do not attempt to replace this with disarming the system or an unwanted airbag deployment may occur. VERY DAMAGEROUS DEVICE, TRUCT ME ON THIS.

Airbag light came on..did this come from a impact

{: ) It is possible, but not always the case. An airbag light on your instrument cluster may mean several things. Usually under normal conditions, an airbag light on warns the driver that the airbag system has detected a fault somewhere in the airbag circuits and need to be checked or fixed, otherwise the airbag protection system may not work properly in the event of collision. It can be wiring or component malfunctions.
Sometimes it can be a deployed component like the seat belt retractors or an SDM, which you may not notice. Your vehicle needs to be checked by a diagnostic scan tool for trouble codes. This way, you can easily determine the status of your airbag system.
If your vehicle did have an impact before that you're not aware of, and no attempts were made to have it repaired despite previous airbag light warnings, well, you can always expect the airbag light to come on.

What does code B0026 dr frontal deployment loop[stage 1 open] mean

This is usually due to an airbag deployment. It's the code for the front left circuit (driver's side). Most likely, the driver's side airbag deployed and the bag and module were replaced, but the module circuit ring in the column wasn't replaced. When the module senses the need to deploy, it sends a signal to the ring opening the line for the current to flow and causes the bag to deploy. Problem is, the circuit stays open, and casues a fault code. The unfortunate part is, until the curcuit is replaced, the SRS system in inoperable and will not deploy again in the event of an accident. You'll have to have the steering wheel pulled to service this item and should be done by a certified technician. It can be expensive, but worth the price of your safety.
