My zx2 has a line coming out of bottom passenger side of radiator. That is full of rusted holes.

I need to replace the line, but don't know what it is called. This line goes toward fire wall, winding around past harmonic balancer. Is this a transmission cooling line, or going to heater core, or what? What is it called?

SOURCE: There is antifreeze leaking out

you may have a loose hose, a hole in the hose,or your heater core has a hole.

u need to see a specialist to look at your car, it probably is mixing fluid, give attention to the head and gasket. Make sure your car's themostat/water pump are in good working order. Good luck.

SOURCE: The coolant is leaking on the fitting in the radiator where the transmission lines attach. Is this fitting replaceable by myself

It can be tightened some. Do this and see if it still leaks. Other wise replace the radiator.

I have a 2000 caravan. The radiator has two large hoses on passenger side. The top goes to where thermostat is. The bottom one goes to water pump. There are four smaller hoses on driver side. Two of them...

Could these possibly be the A/C lines running to the condenser that mounts in front of the radiator? Sometimes the A/C receiver/drier is mounted in that area as well.

Replaced some brake line, rear pads and one rear wheel cylinder. Now no pressure and nothing happening when trying to bleed.

Does the car have ABS ? And does it have an equalizer block for the 4 wheels ?
It sounds like the ABS has been affected, or there is an equalizer block that is stuck on the front wheels only.
Can you open the bleeder or the rear line on the master cyl and get fluid to come out by depressing the pedal ?

My low coolant light stays on on my 02 impala but the coolant is full how do I reset it?

The coolant level sensor is located on the passenger side of the radiator, just below the bottom of the battery. If the light comes on, you'll need to fill the plastic coolant tank. But you also need to remove the radiator cap and fill the radiator itself. Only open the radiator when the engine is cold. If the radiator is full, and you are positive it's full, then the sensor needs to be replaced.

What is copper line coming out of radiator

???Is it a metal line on driver's side of radiator? That would be a transmission cooler line. There should be two, one up high, and one down lower, near bottom of radiator. The radiator has a separate reservoir for the transmission fluid to circulate and be cooled.
If it's anything else, I don't know.

What goes in the hole half way up on my radiator?

the lines come from the automatic transmission. this is how the trans fluid is cooled.you will just have to re-route the lines to use on the bottom. should not be much of a problem.

Whats the name of the hose that is connected to the radiater for water?

radiator hose is what they are called, oddly enough. one on the top and one on the bottom. if you are replacing one, do yourself a favor and replace both on a car that old. while they are disconnected, dump a bucket of cold clear water into the top hose and see how fast it comes out the bottom hose. if the flow is markedly slower out the bottom, you may want to consider a new radiator. they get plugged up with age, especially if someone has been dumping sealer into them.

Brownish fluid leaking from the small mannifold on the passenger side of the car in front of the radiator...is this transmission fluid?

Good chance it's the transmission fluid. The passenger side of the radiator is the transmission cooler side and the coolant is leaking from the transmission lines. There should be two lines, one on top which is the inlet and the bottom one which is the return line. Check to make sure there is no corrosion along the lines or that the line has not come loose at the radiator. Locate the leak and repair or replace the lines. Good luck and take care not to run low on transmission fluid, low fluid in the system will cause the transmission to burn out.

RADIATOR COOLANT REPLACEMENT BMW E36 1992

Seeing as you just replaced the water pump, there should be little fluid remaining.

Remove the drain plug from the bottom driver's side of the radiator. Let it drain into a large pan. Once draining is complete, remove the bottom radiator hose from the passenger side of the radiator just to get everything out of the engine if the engine block drain plug didn't remove all of the fluid. Replace the plugs and lines if removed.

Fill the radiator reservoir and start the engine with heat controls on high. open the bleed screw beside the filler cap just enough to let air out. Keep refilling reservoir as the engine sucks it into the radiator. Only fill it to the cold line. Once it stops moving below the Cold/KALT line, replace the cap and close bleed screw.
