Why are a/c and heat not changing when I move the temperature up or down just on the driver side?

actuator is not working on the blend door. It is not responding to the command when you select either heat or ac on the passenger side. The temperature blend door actuator is not moving to supply either heat or ac.

Are you able to control the driver side air temperature at the dash registers? If not and you can control the passenger side of the dual climate system then you have an issue with the air temperature control door (moves between the heater core heated air and the AC evaporator cold air stream) deep inside the dash or the electric actuator that moves it or in most cases both.

the heater vacuum motor and lines needs to be checked.Also get the blend door checked.

The fuse your looking for is under the hood in front of the driver

Hello: Remove the cover under the passenger side, then remove the glove box from the dash, there are two temperature actuators mounted to the Heater case, the one on the bottom is for the driver, the one on the top is for the passenger. With engine running and the heater/a/c control on move the temp up and down the silver rods should move, if they don,t take you fingers and see if you can move them. The force of the blower motor tends to keep the temperature doors in the a/c position. The only way to fix correctly is to replace them.

Hello, this is cused by the drivers side temp door actuator. there are two electric motors that move the temp doors from cold to hot. there is one on the drivers side and one on the passenger side. you will need to replace the one for the drivers side.

Remove the left instrument panel (I/P) insulator.

Remove the knee bolster bracket bracket. Disconnect the electrical connector from the left air temperature actuator.

Remove the mounting screws from the left air temperature actuator.

Remove the left air temperature actuator.

this problem is caused in almost all cases by a failed actuator that moves the door insiode the heating/ac duct to change the outlet temperature, it is called the Air Temperature Control Blend Door actuator.

If the blower is blowing air just fine, but you cannot control the temperature, you need to listen to air coming from the vents while turning the temperature from hot to cold. If you do n ot hear any change in airflow, then you may a temperature door in the dash broken. this is becoming a common problem on the Equinox
