Question about Cars & Trucks
Go to a breakers yard and get a new ignition key and lock. Hotwiring a car is not as easy as they make it look in the films. You have to get power to the ignition circuit, you also need to light up your dashboard and stuff which is key dependent. When you have done that, you have to energise the starter motor and stop it when the engine fires. And talking of fires, they can happen during hotwiring!

SOURCE: I lost my ignition key
The best solution I can offer is to take your vehicle registration and your picture ID to your local Ford dealer. They will be able to cut you a new key by using the VIN on your registration. The picture ID is needed because they are not supposed to cut new keys for anyone except the registered owner of the vehicle. This method is the only solution that will guarantee that no damage will be done to the truck.
NOTE: this may not work if the ignition tumblers/cylinder have been replaced before.
Has this been helpfull? If so, please take a moment
