SOURCE: I have a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 with 100,000 miles

On most GMC Models and CHevy for that matter. There is a hole towards the bottom but still on the side of the radiator. I had to run a small hose from that port to a container on the ground. I did this for a few times and it really helps keep your garage floor clean and clear. I also found it to be a bit of a nuissance to flush the radiator.

SOURCE: can't find relay for radiator cooling fan on 2005 GMC sierra

Go to Autozone.com and sign up and register your truck for FREE. Then you can scroll down to the Diagrams section which also has Fusebox and Powerbox layouts.

The Relays are usually in the Powerboxes under the hood. Sometimes the horn relay is identical to other important relays like your cooling fan relay.

If the layout shows this is true and the part numbers on the case of the part matches, then you can switch the relays and see if the fan works or the horn works.

The diagrams are also for the chassis and will help you trace the wires by color and will indicate through the wiring pattern of whether the relay is in the Powerbox or next to the fan.

2010 GMC Sierra radiator fan loud and seems to run all the time 5.3 vortex

Deanna, check to see if your A/C is in the on position, this could cause fan to run a lot. If this is not the case, take truck in for diagnoses at a good shop, could be a faulty heat/fan sensor or sticking relay. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

2005 gmc sierra heater fan quit working. I lost the fifth speed months ago and a couple of days ago lost the other four, the first day the fan would come on sometimes while driving then quit after a while...

1-4 speed are the blower motor resister . It controls all 1-4 speeds, also it's under the passanger side dash around fan, the 5th speed runs off a fuse the is located in the fuse box. It's one of those square fuses , not the relays but fuses. The resister will run $15 and fuse $5 . Good luck. I have replace these before

GMC Sierra A/C Stops Cooling After Driving a Few Minutes

It sounds like you either have an condensor fan problem or low freon. The condensor fan is near the radiator. In some cases the radiator fan doubles as the condensor fan. So look there too.

Fuel filter location Sierra

I have been told by a mechanic that the fuel filter is inside the fuel tank. Have to either drop the tank or remove the pickup bed. Access is on the top of the tank. This is poor engineering.
