I would check to see if the hood release moves when the inside lever is pulled then pushed, if not the cable and latch mechanism may need lubrication or be broken.
If you have a inside hood release, the cable might have come off the latch system. If you can see the latch through the front hood seam or the grille, use a long screw driver or putty knife blade to trip the latch. If the latch release is OK, the POP-UP spring might be broken and you could use a coat hanger wire to pull up on the hood as the latch is released.
First of all; sorry that you were in a wreck. I know that sucks. Been there, done that. As far as getting the hood to come open; have you checked the hood latches that keep the hood nearly firmly in place? Sometimes loosening these latches can help get a hood to pop open. As far as the front bumper goes; there are also brackets that hold the bumpers to your vehicle. If you can find a way to locate and loosen these brackets; then it should come off. As far as the radiator replacement goes; that's another ball game and beyond my limited knowledge about vehicles. Hope this helps.
Common problem. Have someone pull the release while you bang on the edge of the front of the hood with the heal of your hand, keep on the edge as you can dent the hood very easy. it will pop open then spray the latch with WD40. Let me know if this works.
Are you sure it has a cable fitted as mine opens from the front of the car with the key. to do this you swing the ford badge up insert the key, turn it one way to pop the hood then turn it the other way to release and lift it at the same time
