How to replace the computer?

seem to remember it being under the centre consol ,with the right software you can reset it and read the faults ,often a flat battery will throw up the light and just reseting it does the trick

If your looking for the plug in, its under the drivers dash, i use to hit me knee on it using the clutch, mine is a 97, it depends on the year of the vehicle

The ECM should be located behind the glove box or in the passenger side kick panel. I would first check behind the glovebox. Many of times you have to slide the computer out a bit in order to unhook it.

if you mean the component that controls the operation of the injector for cyl#3,it is located in the computer and is a none replaceable item unless the computer is sent out to a shop that specializes in computer repair as it is part of the electronic board in the computer.

this is a fairly simple job. The location of the unit varies within the same year make and model.
Take your vin number and ask the local deal about recalls and -- where the location of you vehicle computer is - sometimes these are called brain boxes by dealers - - once located you will have little problem in removing and replacing the unit.
