Won't crank, will push start and runs fine.

My 2002 isuzu rodeo 2wd 4cyl won't crank, when I turn key all lights come on as normal, but won't crank. It will push start and runs after it is started. replaced crank shaft sensor, as that code was showing from the check engine light.

had starter tested at the store, they said it was good. Replaced crank shaft sensor but that didn't do it. Put starter back and took a test light and can't find a problem.

Could it be the clutch start switch? Reading manual, but it does not say where this is located, only that it is part of the starting system. Please help. How do I check this and where is it?

You may have a bad starter. It'll run after you push start it because it's not using the starter to crank the engine. If you bring it the starter, some auto parts stores will test your starter for you.

Doing my best to help you with this one. The clutch pedal starter switch is a definite possibility.

I'm not too sure of it's location, but I would start by looking under the dash by the top of the clutch pedal. Most likely that is where it is. Another possibility could be your ignition switch, but I would test the clutch pedal starter switch with an ohm meter first.

Good day, I have a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo LS 2WD, manual transmission. A week ago I started having problems starting my truck, seems like the ignition switch was not working, I have to crank it up to four t

Could be your fuel pump failing. Try this; turn ign key to "on", not "start" then off after 5 seconds. Do this several times then try "start". If it starts right up this time, your fuel pump could be going bad, or the fuel pressure is dropping for whatever reason.

93 rodeo 3.2 2wd crank but no start

What happened when it stopped running in the first place? You might want to verify the cam/crank position if you can. If you jumped a tooth or have a stretched belt, you are going to have valves open when you are supposed to be firing off on the compression stroke. A compression tester on the number one cylinder would be one way to test it, or a leak down tester.

Engine will not start after changing battery in 2004 Isuzu Rodeo

Get yourself a can of starting fluid spray, and spray NO MORE than a two second burst into the air intake after removing the filter. Then crank it. If it fires (very briefly), your problem is low or no fuel delivery to the engine.
