SOURCE: Ignition Lock

I have/had the exact same problem today. I tried the solution as posted, spray WD40 into the ignition switch. That didn't work. I then tried rocking the car back and forth (front to back). That worked. My guess is the key is worn. I will eventually need a new ignition switch. But until that time comes, I will keep rockin' the car.

SOURCE: 1997 sentra ignition locked

With the key in the ignition, tap on the key with something heavy like a pair of pliers, screwdriver etc. It will cause the pin inside the mechanism to drop, and the iginition will turn. Happened to me today, worked like a charm.

SOURCE: Steering wheel locked in place, key will not turn...

Very likely the steering thrust stored in the tires attempting to turn back is forcing excessive tension against the steering lock.

Try (very hard) to turn the steering wheel either direction while turning the key gently.

If that solves it you can avoid this by letting go of the steering after stopping to park, turn off the ignition slowly (engine off, pause, then key out). This will ensure that the steering wheel comes to rest prior to locking the column.

My horn stop working and when I lock the doors with remote key it wont sound when you lock the doors Forgot to add that it is a 2012 Ford Escape Horn does not work from the inside either. Is it a fuse

Does the horn sound when you press it on the steering wheel if not check for a blown fuse to horn and then if ok see if you have power to horn and then if that is ok run a wire from the battery to the horn and see if it honks.

Horn wont work

Sounds like the horn button located in the steering wheel has gone bad. Most of today's cars also have the driver airbag located the same unit. To repair/replace one you must replace the entire unit. Your locking system blows the horn directly without going through the horn button on the steering wheel, similar to a doorbell working from both front and back door of your house. The horn button/air bag unit can be purchased at your dealer. Hope this helps.

The horn will not work on my 96 mercury grand marquis. The horn makes a sound when locking the door with the remote keys, but it will not work when pushing on the steering wheel. I've checked both...

Your horn contact in the steering assembly probably uses what is called a 'slip-ring' type contact and the 'ring' which is part of the steering wheel itself may be contaminated or the stationary contact, which uses low-pressure spring material, is either worn or the spring has grown weak. You will have to gain access to the inside of the steering wheel center section to check this.
Also, unless you have actually electrically tested the horn relay, I would check for a relay with the same part number (should be stamped into the case) and temporarily swap them. Your security system may employ a separate relay to sound the horn when locking or unlocking.

Keyless remote locks the doors but the horn doesn't honk.

Your lock settings were most probably changed from your remote unit. By pressing both lock and unlock keys together for around two to three seconds you can switch between silent mode and horn mode. Hooe that helps...
