Unfortunately, if it is a cd player from a non dealer. It will not work. They are specifically chipped to match your specific VIN. Some audio paces can bypass the system by adding the specific resistor or chip that your car will need to play your new radio or what you can do is swap mother boards from your old radio to the new or you you can see the dealer for help. If you are using home-made, or "Burnt" CDs, this is the root of the problem. Toyota Cd players are sometimes not compatible with the abovementioned CD's. Also, if the CD is scratched badly on the bottom side closest to the "hole", the info that the CD reads to "know" that the CD is physically IN the drive may be compromised.

could be the spring release in the lever on the trunk itself. If you can hear the acuator locking/unlocking(that is all it's ment to do) then the spring release is the problem. you need to unbolt the latch from inside the trunk and once the trunk is open you can trace from there. I had the same problem due to a minor fender bender and I just fixed mine last week.
