i suspect that your code alarm has the shock sensor and its set to high. locate the shock sensor under the steering column and to the left see below pic find the white adjustment knob and turn it to the left / counterclockwise https://ssli.ebayimg.com/images/g/osYAAOxy3zNSjTS0/s-l1600.jpg

Alarm reset

Use remote to turn off alarm with all doors closed. the other is to have all doors closed and locked, then unlock from drivers door and turn key twice simutanously. Your third is with the ignition switch depending on what type of alarm it has. I.e., factory or aftermarket.

I just replaced the battery in my 2001 Subaru Legacy and now the remote on my keys will no longer lock or unlock the car, but the alarm system works when I lock it manually. Is there a way for me to reset...

Lost remote to disable alarm on 2000 mercury villager how can i disable it and start my van

If you have the factory alarm system, you can put your key into either door and lock and unlock the door, that signals the computer to deativate the alarm. If you have an aftermarket alarm system installed, it will have to be removed and the wiring that the alarm ties into must be restored to factory design.

First try to reset alarm by inserting key in drivers door lock and lock and unlock-if this does not work try tail lock as well.

1998 Subaru Legacy Outback with Factory issued Car alarm malfunction. Alarm will go on by itself, even when it has not been set. I want to permanately disable it!

the easiest way will be to take it 2 a subaru dealer or an auto electriction and get them 2 remove the alarm..but you could dissconnect and un bolt the external alarm siren..
