hi Bobby.
this is all i could find.
see if this helps you out. where is the neutral safety switch on 2006 chevy impala Google Search
or read this. Where is the neutral safety switch?
Column shifters have the neutral safety switch located on the of the transmission. Mechanical floor shifters have the neutral safety switch located on the of the transmission. Electronic floor shifters have the neutral safety switch in the shifter housing and a gear position switch on the transmission.11 Aug 2016
The purple wire with a white stripe goes to the starter from the neutral safety switch. I believe it is the yellow wire at the neutral safety switch that will have the the signal from the ignition switch for the start signal. ( Test this yellow wire with a test light while holding the key in the start position to see if it lights to make sure yellow is the correct color ) and join the wires together. This will by-pass the neutral safety switch
Test/Service/ReplaceNeutral Safety Switch
Most neutral safety switches are combinations of a neutral safety switch and a backup lamp switch. Others have separate units for these two distinct functions. When the reverse light switch is not part of the neutral safety switch, it seldom needs adjustment, as it is directly activated by the transmission or the gear selector linkage.

A neutral safety switch allows current to pass from the starter switch to the starter when the lever is placed in the P or N position. Some neutral safety switches are nonadjustable. If these prevent starting in the P or N position and the gear selector linkage is correctly adjusted, they should be replaced.
To adjust a typical neutral safety switch:
Place the shift lever in neutral.
Loosen the attaching bolts for the switch.
Using the angling pin, move the switch until the pin falls into the hole in its rotor.
Tighten the attaching bolts.
Recheck the switch for continuity. If no voltage is present, replace the switch.
The switch sometimes controls the operation of the back-up lights also. With the engine off and the key on, put the selector in reverse position. Check the back-up lights to see that they are on. Then, check in the drive position to see that they are out.

P0705 - Transmission Range Sensor Malfunction. The park/neutral position (PNP) switch includes a transmission range
switch. The transmission range switch detects the selector lever
position when the shift lever is in the N or P shift position and sends a
signal to the Transmission Control Module (TCM). The possible causes of this are the following: Open or short park/neutral position switch circuit. Poor park/neutral position switch circuit connection. Misadjusted park/neutral position switch. Park/neutral position switch may be faulty. Inspect the pnp switch and replace if needed.
OBD Code P1750 = Solenoid Assembly / Manufacturer Control Transmission.
I tell you it is infact your solenoid box assemble is going. What
that does is to tell your transmission when to shift into gears. Im
assuming your car is having a hard time shifting gears and juts need replace this part.
I'll check the Neutral Safety Switch. It's
located on the shift shaft of the trans, and is a common problem. Also
check the wiring leading to the switch, as it is exposed to road grime
and has been known to corrode and melt.
most gm nuet safety is yellow and purple .....out of ignition switch is a big yellow wire that is crank out and input to nuet saf switch......out of nuet switch is color purple that goes strieght to start selenoid.....purple wire also goes to the crank fuse 5amp.. in the fuse box under dash... this fuse goes to the pcm main computer.. same for auto and clutch
