I need to know the location of my blower relay. Already changed out the blower resistor, that did not remedy the problem (fan will not come on). Yes, I installed it correctly.

- checked all fuses - changed blower motor resistor - ensured all wires were in good condition - fan still will not come on via the dash dial - ops checked fan (works as advertised with 12v power).

The blower relay is for high speed fan only most of the time . Do you know how to test electrical circuits ? It sure cuts down on buying unneeded parts . Here watch this video , this is a Chrysler vehicle . Don't know what you have , doesn't matter . They all work pretty much the same . I suggest you watch a few other trouble shooting videos as well .Is Chrysler Blower Motor Test subscriber requested video This next vehicle is a GM product , this one uses a relay for high blow only . Blower moter will not shut off when I turn the key off.

More than likely it's the blower motor resistor. Gm's wonderful electrical engineers decided it was a good idea to run constant power to the high speed fan relay which is part of the resistor assembly. When the relay stick the fan stays on. The resistor is located under the dash on the passenger side ne'er the blower motor. There is a plastic trim pannel that will need to be removed from under the dash in order to see it. It is typically help in place with two screws that you will need a 5.5mm socket to remove (yes it's a 5.5mm socket). Lmk

Heater on my envoy only works on 3-4 setting, could that be the switch.

Thanks for the opportunity to let me help. The blower control switch in your vehicle also uses a blower relay. This relay is generally located on the firewall on the passenger side near the heater fan. You can also look in you vehicle owners manual for the location of the blower relay, it may be also be located in the fuse and relay box under the hood. Generally speaking if the highest setting doesn't work on a GM vehicle it is a high blower Relay. This item is not expensive and can be purchased at most all you local Auto parts stores. If you have a Napa, Orielly's, or AutoZone these stores will also likely help you in the location if you are unable to locate this relay. Here is a general picturepepsiman1967.jpg The installation of this relay is either to remove from the fuse box, or if located near the heater fan housing then you will need to remove the mounting screws, remove the wiring clip, then reverse to install. I hope that this has helped you. D.R. Wilkins

I just had the blower motor relay changed. I still here the noise of a fan running at the bottom of the windshield after I have removed the key from the ignition. is there another fan moter that has to do...

This is probably not a relay problem.
Blower motor resistor usually the cause of this.Very common.
Depending on year and model of your car the location of resistor may vary.
And yes it's draining the battery.
Resistor has another name - Final Stage Controller.
