when did the car run perfect last, last week, month year or?
you did the work or a real shop did, Huummmmmmmmmmmm?
not all lamps, exaggerated? (no seatbelt alarm , oil alarms etc.
not told at all , key only or key on running.
what is this control arm thing, tell all parts touched by you
we sure can not guess any of that and matters.
is this a collision repair, or just 14 years later a brake job gone wrong work. 14 years, means all brakes every inch must be checked out. ignored that long. or miles on car, or brake parts.
"is a full-time four-wheel drive system with locking capabilities
Freedom drive I"
be sure to turn off 4wd
LOCK mode. do not use this on pavement. dry.ever. and CVT trans good luck if present , bad news boxes.
well ABS can not work with bad brakes
NEVER CAN It ! repeat 3 times for effect.
and what to do first is scan the PCM after all fuses checked.
if the scans show any ABS sensor dead, then it is.
see?
the ABS sensor can be broken easy or its wires bad or not plugged in at the wheel failed.
no wreck damage ? or road hazard damage seen?
- good calipers and pistons in them not seized rust inside.
- caliper pins float and those floating parts must NOT be seized.
- rotors not warped or cracked(wow) nor look like surface of the moon. (mill them or replaced)
- sensors ABS good.(scan it or guess endless)
- wheel bearings not seized.
- ball joints not so worn sloppy that wheel hops/flops madly.
- tie rod damage.
not told what wheels touched,
just arms rotors (2 or more)
is it 2 or 4? not told
Do them 1 axle at a time front or rears and then do next axle.
axle means left and right all. one end of car done.
the inspections steps are first with brakes not throw on parts.
that is about it, besides seeing fluid leaks. or line damage from hitting logs in the street.
scan it.
and turn off 4wd LOCK mode first, FT4wd _+ lock
